Abstract:
The membrane bursting pressure is the key performance parameter for a membrane valve, but there are many influencing factors to course great difference of membrane bursting pressure usually, which can't satisfy system's requirement easily. In order to improve the bursting pressure stability of the membrane valve, in this paper, all the influencing factors in the aspects of raw material, fabrication, measurement and testing system are collated and analysed by theoretical analyse and stress calculation. Based on this, three main factors which should be strictly controlled are listed. They are extension strength of material, rest thickness of nicks, and testing system. The control measures were used in membrane valve of a power system. The results show that the bursting pressure stability for membrane valve can be improved effectively by strict control to the three factors, and it can be used in research of other similar products.
