Abstract:
The calculation and analysis software of no-metallized gel propellants thermodynamic characteristics were developed.The thermodynamic characteristics of gel propellants were calculated and analyzed with this software.The results indicate that increasing of gellant contents in t11e propellants resulted in lower vacuum specific impulse,combustion temperature and characteristic velocity.The vacuum specific impulse of gel monopropeIlant is O.47%~1.94%lower than the original liquid—state propellant at the same calculation condition when gellants content changed from 1%to 3%.The vacuum specific impulse of gel bipropellant is 1%-2.69%lower than the original one at the optimal mixture ratio when gellants content changed from 2%to 5%.The key factors of thermodynamic characteristics of gel propellant are the gellant types and their contents.
