Abstract:
Based on the mechanism analysis of floating refinement, it's concluded that the increase of flux quantity can improve degassing effect; however, the excess flux probably results in secondary reaction inclusion in liquid aluminum; the increase of degassing time can improve degassing effect before the equilibrium concentration of H is reached; and H content decreases first and then increases with the prolongation of stewing time. In order to determine the H content in liquid aluminum after purification by rotary blowing-flux method, a multi-factor experiment for purification parameters was designed according to uniform design theory. The rotary blowing-flux process specifications were determined based on the stepwise regression and linear regression analyses of the experimental results: the addition of the refining flux is 0.2%, the degassing time 10 min and stewing time 15 min.
