Abstract:
So far, BPT-4000 is the greatest power Hall thruster in space applications. The output power of its power processing unit is up to 4.5 kW. The specifications of BPT-4000 power processing unit and design of each power supply module inside the unit are introduced in detail. The testing result shows that each performance index of BPT-4000 power processing unit is better than its design requirements. The successful design experience of BPT-4000 power processing unit has positive significance for the development of power processing unit for Hall electric propulsion system in China.
