Abstract:
The 2D and 3D numerical simulations of a scramjet were conducted respectively with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method. The flow field structure and flow detail of a scramjet were obtained. The applicability and shortage of the 2D simplified calculation were discussed. The preliminary performance of the engine was achieved by means of force analysis on every part of the engine. Some additional references about drag reduction design for the strut and cavity are provided in this paper.
