Abstract:
It is crucial for the reliability of the valve in the propellant supply system to ensure the success of the liquid rocket engine test. Prediction and real-time monitoring of the valve leakage fault is one of the important contents of safety and reliability of the propellant supply system in the test-stand. The acoustic pressure detection for the two types of the common valves in the test-stand was conducted. The acoustic characteristic of the fault valves is also studied by analysis for fault characteristic signals of the sound pressure spectrum in the range of sound pressure amplitude. The result shows that the acoustic detection method is effective and convenient for detection of valve leakage fault. The method can be extended to other supply systems with valves.
